Members Save $$$ - Mail Order Rx

We need more NS Active in WMHA to participate in our Canadian Mail Order Drug Program.  Members accessing our Canadian Mail Order Drug Program report savings up to 63% on brand drugs such as Celebrex.  Members ordering a ninety day supply would find their co-pay dropping from $44.64 to the standard $20 for a savings of 55%. At the same time, our Plan saves $124 on that particular prescription alone.  But, we need more participation from Actives.  We've searched long and hard for a mail order program that will serve our members as well as provide a cost savings for our Plan  Expedite Rx is that program but we only maximize savings if everyone participates.

Who doesn't want to save money?  You can't save if you don't participate - so, get signed up now and when you need prescription drugs, you will be eligible.  The Plan saves most when Active workers participate and you save also.

Call 800-650-1817 today to get information and your application packet.  Be sure your physician writes your maintenance prescription for ninety days and include it with your application for faster service.  Call WMHA Administration at 888-800-9161 with your questions.

Wabash management staff and several Board members were quite busy over the summer but included the Annual ARMSE Meeting in their schedule. Front row, left to right in the photo below are Administrator, Bob Kimmons and Supervisor, Bonnie Hudson who were joined at the meeting by Board Chairman, Steve Speagle (BLE), Mike Patrick (SMWA) and in the second row left to right are D. Scott Bruce (IBEW), Rex Grice (UTU), Steve Stone (BRS) and Tom Anderson (BRC).  Highlights of the meeting included presentations by Blue Cross / Blue Shield, health care industry trends and financial / investment options by the Vanguard Group and legislative updates.  Also administrative issues common to all hospital associations, such as rising drug and medical claim costs were reviewed.  The inequitable dues offset issue is always a topic for discussion. The National Health and Welfare Plan (United Healthcare) currently receives $100.26 per month more per active member than the hospital associations.
