         Quality People Serving

               Quality People

The newest appointee to the Wabash Board of Managers is Alternate Retiree Representative, Lucy Derlitzki.  As an Alternate Representative, Lucy will be called upon if and when the Retiree Representative has to be absent from a meeting.  Lucy is retired from the Railroad but, assuredly has not retired from too many other activities.  She is the proud mother of two sons and one grandson.  Although devoted to these men, her life reaches far outside her family and includes civic functions with the local Kiwanis Club, volunteering with fellow WMHA volunteers, working out in the WMHA Fitness Center and lending a helping hand where ever possible.  Lucy shuns the spotlight and is quick to credit others for their successes and help them through their failures. Her outlook on life, sunny disposition and accelerated lifestyle make Lucy hard to beat.

Signals From The Past

Former employees of the Wabash Hospital enjoy getting together for an annual reunion in September each year.  In 2001 a group of fourteen employees (shown below) had their reunion in the Board Room of our current WMHA office.  They were joined by their spouses (or a guest) and were welcomed by Administrator, Bob Kimmons, and given a guided tour of our facility by WMHA staff members.  As with most Wabash members, the hand clasp of two friends on the front row signals the bond that tracks railroaders and Wabash employees over many years and across many miles.
