 Quality People  Serving Quality People

Wabash Volunteers, Jim and Marian Brown may be among the most quiet of our group but, their work and attitude speak loud and clear - giving credence to the adage that "actions speak louder than words". Married for fifty-six years with two daughters, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, Jim and Marian still find time to help and work-out in the Fitness Center as well as help with mailings and other volunteer duties. After over 43 years working in the Railroad Car Shop, Jim now enjoys working in his yard and spending time with Marian. An avid knitter and seamstress, Marian is currently working on a surprise creation for her newest great-grandchild. Like other Wabash volunteers, the Browns are faithful to the task while making others feel welcome and quietly assisting wherever possible for the benefit of all members of Wabash Association.

Signals From The Past

The photo below was taken after a tornado struck many years ago in the area of the Decatur Wabash Shops. Thank you to Mr. Gene Backensto for sharing the photo he received from the collection of Mr. Lewis Dacar. Please mail your photos to Wabash at 1501 North Water Street, Decatur, IL 62526 (we'll return them to you) or email to janet@wabashcannonball.org.
