Notice To Wabash Members With Secondary Coverage

Do you want your hospital or physician claim paid promptly? There are thirty-eight hospitals called "St. Mary's" in the United States and greater than 800,000 listings on the internet. We need your help to direct our payment of your medical claim to the right provider so you will not be billed later if they don't get their payment.

You can help us take the guess work out of paying your claim by including a copy of the original hospital or doctor bill along with the EOB (Explanation of Benefits) when you send it to us for payment.

We will then have the correct hospital, the correct mailing address, and Federal Tax ID of the provider so there will be no mistake and no delay in the payment of your claim.

                                                     Change Is In The Air

Wabash congratulates Missy Hoffman (back row, middle) who has recently been promoted to Clinic Coordinator. As such, she will act as liaison between the Outpatient Clinic and Administration. Welcome our new employee, Patty Nixon, (back lt) who will be the first face you see when checking in for your appointment at the Clinic. Patty is filling the vacancy that occurred when Carol Rozanski ( rt front) accepted the position in Administration where she is responsible for imaging and mail distribution. Vickie McGaughey (lt front) accepted a new position as Provider Services Clerk. We also welcome Sharon Hotwick (back rt) who has recently joined us as our first full-time Accountant. She will assist Administration in financial reporting and maintain accountability for our $16,000,000 annual budget. All members are invited to stop in and meet the new additions to the Wabash staff.

                         Important Member Handbook Update

Our Member Health Plan Handbooks for both Actives and Retirees were current when published and distributed to our membership in the Spring of 2005. Since that time, through action of our Board of Managers, certain changes to Benefits or By-Laws have occurred. In each case, the subsequent issue of the Banner Blue published those changes. The insert in this edition recaps all the changes not currently printed in your Handbook. To bring your Member Handbook up to date as of our May, 2007 Board meeting, please click on  "Member Handbook Changes" below, print it, fold it in half and place inside your Handbook. One page is for the Active Workers (blue Handbook) and the other page is for Medicare participants (red Handbook) Please refer to it each time you are researching your Rules, By-Laws or Plan Benefits.
