 Quality People  Serving Quality People

Wabash members who have visited the Wabash Clinic in Decatur are already familiar with Ms. Vicki Jones. Vicki has been a nurse for 17 years and has enjoyed serving Wabash members for a little over one year. She has two sons, Cory and Jason and two grandchildren, Alexis and Kyle. The past few months have kept her busy helping with plans for Jason's recent wedding to her new daughter-in-law, Sarah. In addition to spending time with her family, Vicki enjoys scrapbooking and studying geneology. She was quick to point out that her great-grandfather was a railroader. Vicki enjoys meeting other railroaders and, being fond of history, she is quick to listen to the stories many of our members share from many years ago. Also an Avon Distributor and active in raising funds for the American Cancer Society, Vicki's many activities keep her calendar full.

Signals From The Past

Mr. Christopher Martin sent in the photo of the Taylorville Depot and shared his memories of days gone by. His father worked for C&IM and instilled a love of trains in Christopher. He remembers riding on the steam engines and cabooses as a child, playing with HO scale trains and watching the Green Diamond pass by near Virden. While spending a week with his grandfather, he remembers the stainless steel California Zephyr and eating dinner at the Burlington Iowa station. Thank you Mr. Martin. Send your railroad memories and pictures to WMHA, PO Box 1340, Decatur, IL 62525 or email pictures and memories to janet@wabashcannonball.org
