Notice To All Medicare Participants
_______________________________________
Effective January 1, 2006, Wabash Memorial Hospital Association will be under
contract with CMS to be the Primary Payer of Medicare Part B Medical claims. For
your physicians to be properly reimbursed, it is important that you present each
of them with the notice below (recently mailed to all Medicare members) to
assist us in expediting their payments.
TO PHYSICIANS - WMHA is a Health Care Prepayment Plan (HCPP)
for Part B physician charges. WMHA will pay both Medicare Part B benefits and
Medicare supplemental benefits directly to the physician in one payment. All
services provided by physicians in their office, including diagnostic work, are
to be filed directly with WMHA at the Medicare allowable rate. You should no
longer be sending Wabash claims to Railroad Medicare or Social Security
Medicare.
TO ALL OTHER PROVIDERS - Send claims to Railroad Medicare
first. Mail the claim and EOB to WMHA to
receive supplemental payments.
Send bills to Wabash Memorial Hospital Association at PO Box 1340, Decatur, IL
62525-1340. Call Wabash to confirm current coverage, benefit information and to
confirm filing instructions

Keep
Informed
There could be death benefits available for family members of deceased union
members. If you are unsure whether you have unclaimed benefits available, call
Minnesota Life (800-328-9442). You will need to know the name of the Railroad,
the last day worked and Social Security number of the deceased.

SUGGESTIONS
If you have ideas and suggestions to make Wabash Memorial Hospital Association
work better for you, please let us know. We're here to listen to your complaints,
address your concerns and provide the best benefit schedule that our budget will
allow. This is your Hospital Association. Let us hear from you. Call, write or
email Bob at (888) 800-9161; PO Box 1340, Decatur, Illinois 62525-1340l; Email

Holiday Help |
|
|
|
|
After a loss of any kind (death,
divorce,
job loss or other trauma), everything changes in our life.
What was 'the norm' is there no
longer and until that "new normal"
is birthed and accepted in our
life, everything is painful. The
various holidays throughout the
year seem only to accentuate a pain that is already excruciating. There is hope
and we have choices to make - We can make the choice to accept our loss and can
choose to become better because of it rather than bitter. Before that choice is
made, there is a lonely road called "Grief" that we must travel on and at the
end there is healing. On that road, make right choices including the choice to
feel the pain and the choice not to mask it with drugs or alcohol. Choose to
pray and to reach out to others. Choose to allow yourself to hear this whisper
of hope: You will make it - you can have peace again. Morning does come after a
night season and a new normal is just around the corner.
-------------------------------------------------
God Bless The USA
There is turmoil all around us and stress in our lives. Every day, it is
important that we take some time to pray for our
country, our leaders and our fighting men and women everywhere.

Peru
Flu Shot Clinic
Wabash Clinic Nurse, Mrs. Tamra Logue, administers flu vaccine to Wabash member,
Mr. Michael Lund, at a recent combined meeting and Flu Shot Clinic held in Peru,
Indiana. We're hopeful that there will be adequate interest and adequate flu
vaccine to expand this Clinic to other areas.
