                                                                2007 Dues Increase

The national increase in the price of healthcare affects Wabash members the same as everyone else. Member's medical claims paid out in 2006 by Wabash jumped 12.5% to a record high of $12,201,170. Even with the expectation of similar increases for next year, our Board has approved a budget for 2007 with an average dues increase to Wabash members of only 6.5%. Our Board thanks all our members for being thrifty and prudent healthcare consumers. Dues increases authorized at the October Board meeting will go into effect January 1, 2007 and are listed below.

                                                        Administration   Error
Retired Medicare spouses receiving our Non-Credible Coverage letter with their dues adjustment letter were confused by conflicting amounts shown as their new dues rate.  The dues adjustment letter showed the correct amount for Plan 10 spouses as $121 for 2007.  The accompanying Non-Credible Coverage notice reflected the incorrect amount of $117 for Schedule H.  Administration apologizes for the error.
