On The Road Again
Once again, Wabash staff
took the Wabash Flu Clinic "on the road" to facilitate the administration of flu
shots to as many of our Wabash members as possible.
Due to circumstances dictated by NS this year, we were unable to take our clinic
directly to the working "Active" employees in the yards. Because of the location
changes, we saw a 33% decrease in shots administered to our Active members. But,
due to your requests / suggestions from last year, we did open our Flu Clinic to
spouses of Wabash members, as well as any NS employee that wished to
participate, therefore increasing our total number of shots given in other
categories.
Two members of the Wabash staff, Bonnie Musgrave - Office Manager (rt in top
photo) and Carol Sincebaugh - Membership Coordinator (lt in top photo), were on
hand to answer any questions that you, our member, may have had. It also allowed
them to meet our members and let our members know that the goal of the Wabash
staff is to serve our members. We extend special thanks to all the people who
helped set up the dates and locations, as well as the volunteers and nurses who
helped us provide this service to Wabash members.

LOOKING
AHEAD
To offset the negative impact (to the Wabash Clinic)of United HealthCare
introducing the MMCP in Central Illinois, the Board authorized a new class of
eligibility for non-members. This will allow certain non-members to use the
Decatur Outpatient Clinic and UHC will be billed for those services. Wabash
Outpatient Clinic, under the direction of Dr. Venita Edwards-Talley, expects to
be a part of the United Healthcare MMCP and Comprehensive Plan within 60-90 days
pending completion of their credentialing process.
