                         Notice To NS Female Contract Employees

Beginning January 1, 2006, the Wabash Memorial Hospital Association will provide medical benefits for pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions the same as we do for other non-pregnancy related covered medical conditions. This applies to pregnancies occurring in 2006 and thereafter.  Physician claims should b submitted to Wabash as directed on the back of your Wabash member card (the same as any routine medical claim).  Pregnancies reported in 2005 will continue to be paid by United Healthcare even though the delivery may be in 2006.  During the pregnancy term, routine medical claims will be paid by Wabash as usual.  At birth, the infant will immediately be covered by United HealthCare under the National Plan for families.

                                                      Decatur Wabash Clinic Extends Services

Wabash Clinic has extended its Flu Shot Clinic this year to members in Peru and Granite City.  We've held a Flu Shot Clinic in Moberly, Missouri over the past few years as well.  Contingent upon the interest expressed by Wabash members and the availability of vaccine and adequate funding, we hope our Clinic can extend its service of Free Flu Shots to Actives and Retirees in other areas.  Call Bob at 1-888-800-9161 or email bob@wabashcannonball.org and let us know your thoughts.  Wabash Clinic LPN, Tamra Logue, and Administrator, Bob Kimmons (far right) are shown with two Wabash members at the Granite City Flu Clinic in late November.

                                                        Announcement

At the October Board of Manager's Meeting, Administration was directed to mail Minutes of each Board Meeting to all General and Local Chairmen representing any Active Railroad employees in Wabash.  Since these Chairmen may not receive this announcement, you can help us by sending your Officer's name and mailing address to Bob at PO Box 1340, Decatur, Illinois 62525-1340, or pass this announcement to them.

                                                     A Season To Give

 Please remember the Wabash Hospital Association Foundation as you make your year end tax-deductible charitable donations.  Our Foundation endowment fund is a long way from the $2,000,000 goal.  To be a valid 2005 tax deduction, checks should be dated no later than 12/31/2005 and envelopes postmarked no later than 12/31/2005.
